Zaujímavé auto od VW za ktorým stojí Ferdinand Piëch (auto z čias keď použité materiály v aute mali kvalitu, pevnosť,robustnosť žiadne eko-bio vŕzgajúce plasty, z väčšej časti auto disponuje interierovými prvkami ako pravá koža,drevo..) Jedno z áut ktorých už veľa nie je na predaj v peknom a zachovalom stave.Phaeton patril vo svojom čase medzi najdrahšie autá od VW. Auto ktoré bude možno v budúcnosti vyhladávané (samozrejme viac by mu pasoval 6.0 W12 ,ale z ekonomického hľadiska je 3.0 TDi udržateľnejšiou voľbou a vhodnejší aj na každodenné jazdenie).Motor ide ticho a kultivovane, prevodovka radí plynulo, podvozok je pevný, nič nebúcha ani neklepe.
